Gulab Jamuns |
Ingredients :
- 1 Cup of Milk Powder
- 2 tsp Flour
- 2 tsp Suji
- 2 tblesp Ghee
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Whole milk to make a dough
For Sugar Syrup :
- 2 cups of Water
- 2 cups of Sugar
- Few kesar Petals
- 5 - 6 Cardamon
- Oil For Frying Gulab Jamuns
Gulab Jamun Recipe:
- Soak the whole Suji In 1/2 cup of Water as we have to make it softer.
- Take a bowl and mix Flour, Ghee, Milk Powder & Baking Powder. Now drain the whole water from Suji and bring it to the bowl. Now mix the whole mixture properly using your palms.
- Add the whole to mixture till it soak the mixture. Make a medium hard mixture by mixing properly. Cover the dough with a cloth and keep It side for 25-30 mins.
- Now divide the mixture in 20-22 parts of equal size, Make small balls by rolling It on your palm. Place the balls on the Plate.
- Heat the Oil on medium flame. One by one put the balls in hot oil. Gently shake the pan rather than moving the balls. After 5 min the ball will rise to the surface and become brown.
- The balls should be fried slowly at med temp , this will make the balls cook from Inside and brown too.
Sugar Syrup :
- It should be made earlier and kept warm In temp.
- To make the Sugary syrup, Take 2.5 cups of water and mix 2.5 cups of Sugar In It. Add 5-6 crushed cardamom pods & Kesar. Mix It gently and bring It to boil at med flame for 5-10 min untill the whole sugar is dissolved In water.
- Add some drops of lemon ( It won't let syrup to get solidify)
- Transfer the Syrup Into the serving dish and keep It on flame to remain warm.
- Add the Gulab jamuns Into the warm syrup .
- Leave Gulab jamuns into the warm syrup for whole night to get the best taste of It.
- Garnish them with small sliced pistachios .
Serve them after meal or at tea time with your family and friends.




Can We Use Gulab Jamun Mix. In Which We Just have to make Balls and Fry Them ?
ReplyDeleteYes you can go with that option too.. Ready made mix are available in the market.. Make sure you use some ghee to make soft balls.
